Fill in student's questionnaire

Please help a "poor" student, Beth Harris from De Montfort University at Leicester (England), to collect data for her thesis work. Your participation won't change the way we look at stuttering, but will provide her with good data to learn how to do statistical analysis in the real world.

Tom - I just took the survey. I tried to write a note to Beth at the email address listed in the survey (p07262811@myemail.dmu.ac.uk) but I got an "undeliverable" message. You might want to let her know.

Well, the survey site is still active.

I assume you have her address from your direct contact with her. Why don't you write her to let her know.

In her questionnaire she focuses on abnormal involuntary body movements which can be part of stuttering. Surely these movements are simply distraction behaviors? They tend to break a block, and so the stutterer uses them again and again so that they become learned, conditioned behavior. Unfortunately the stutterer later becomes used to them so that they tend to lose their distraction value. That's how I experienced them years ago - I have long since unlearned these secondaries. Frankly I thought that this was common knowledge and that all therapists and students know that it's just distraction.

@Peter: This questionnaire is probably the thesis for her bachelor, and so she does not need to do anything new. She just needs to show that she is able to do research, and can reproduce a well-known feature, for example.

Please write a blog about my free e-book: "What Stuttering Treatments Are Effective?" It's a short, easy-to-read evidence-based review of 200+ studies. Download the e-book now from http://casafuturatech.com/stuttering-e-book

El Commendante -

CASAFUTURATECH products are considered rip-offs by most who stutter. The book referenced is used primarily to sell his products. If you listen to the salesperson - who owns the company - you will experience first hand the "fluency outcome" of the products.

Just more snake oil....
