Comedy or not.

YouTube classifies stuttering as comedy, and Leys is battling them. You can sign an online petition against the YouTube classifications here.

Obviously not.

In case of someone to be interest in (Brazilian readers of this blog), there is a portuguese subtitled version of this video here: gagueira não é piada.

I am a stutterer myself, so i understand this point of view, however the individual video is classified by the user who uploads it, not Youtube as a whole

Yes, anonymous, it is the uploader who categorises the video - but all we are asking is that YouTube reclassify the ones currently described as 'Comedy'. It's a very small request and yet they have refused to meet it.

Very interesting article published last week in the PLoS Biology Magazine about the importance of the activity of the gene FoxP2 in the consolidation of articulatory sequences in a specific region of the striatum: the area X (a fundamental basal ganglia structure necessary for song learning in birds and, presumably, speech learning in humans).

Yes, on YouTube, many people have been making fun of people who stutter. Yes, that's a cruel thing. For me, I don't stutter to everyone I talk to. I only stutter when I get nervous and stuff.

If you had opinions that were unpopular? Or any of the countless things that people could petition about?

I stutter, but I'm not going to advocate that Youtube start re-categorizing content in order to make me feel better. That's just silly.
