Neurological vs Psychological? BSA London 2009 Workshop

Here is the presentation that I gave at the BSA conference. My goal is to show how a neurobiological basis for stuttering fits well into the diverse spectrum we see in symptoms of stuttering. There is no discrepancy between the psycho and neurobio!

what about reference cited?

It would be great if you can put it into written words and present it as a polished paper and maybe get it published.....thank you!

It would help your process of thinking on all this to reading "Mastering Blocking & Stuttering" by Bob Bodenhamer.

Tom,
I would like to know what you mean with "associates "d" to blocks". Or, more specifically: what means this "d"?
Thank you!

Well, some people expect to stutter on the letter d. For example, I have trouble saying Durham.

Of course, it depends on the person. Some might have associations to other letters. Others have associations to certain words. Its name. And so on.

The point is that associations are shaping our reactions, and what associations we have stored in our brain depends on our experiences which varies for each person.

It would be very interesting to have your recorded presentation; it would add to our understanding of the slides.

Thanks
