Do we stutter when we talk in our sleep?

Are we also stuttering when speaking in our sleep? Any feedback? Ask your partner and let me know! :-)

I bet we don't.

Not that I talk much in my sleep anyway in the first place, lol.

Hey Tom,

For many years, I was covert in my dreams. I knew I was making progress in therapy when I began stuttering in my dreams.

As I recall, I think Jamie said on a StutterTalk episode that when she talks in her sleep, she stutters.

I too have heard myself stutter in my dreams, but don't believe I have ever actually talked aloud in my sleep.

Do you ever tape record yourself?
Separate what you believe from reality (the truth)

My 9 year old son has been a stutterer for 5 years, he is an avid sleep talker and although it is almost incoherent, one thing that I can tell is that he does not stutter in his sleep talk!

I stutter in my dreams. It's very similar to how I stutter when I'm awake, sometimes even more severe... although I suspect that it is the most severe stuttering that I remember best as that sometimes wakes me up.

My 10 year old is the same. Has stuttered since he was 3 years old. He always talks in his sleep with no stuttering.

My son has stuttered all his life. (He’s 13) He also talks in his sleep. And he even stutters in his sleep just as much as when he’s awake.
