Phase III Pagoclone is going ahead

I heard rumors that the Phase III trial for Pagoclone is going ahead, and there was a meeting to discuss the formalities of the trial. I am sure we will have more information soon.

Tom,

This will be good news if it turns out to be true. Keep us informed, including any rumors you hear.

I assume that this means Indevus has out-licensed pagoclone to another company. Any word or rumors about what that company is?

I did a Google search for "pagoclone license 2008" and didn't find anything. Also nothing yet on the Indevus website.

Hi Ora, That is a great question, I was going to ask Tom the same question.

Tom, did you happen to hear that the meeting was with another company doing the Phase III trial since Pagoclone was out of the companies scope for Indevus?

I have Pagoclone set on my Google Alerts and saw the posting come through and was happy to hear this news!

Question for you Tom, if all goes well for a Phase III (and I know we have along way to go), is this the last Phase?

All the best!

Dave from Boston, Massachusetts

I don't know any specifics but the rumor is quite reliable. Another company has come in.

Yes, Phase III is usually the last phase before the FDA approval of the drug.

hi,

do you know how / if this will impact the drug in the UK?

Tom Weidig said...

no, I don't. I guess it will take 2-3 years until approved in the US by FDA ASSUMING IT IS PROVEN SUCCESSFUL.

Hi,
I'm looking forward to try Pagaclone. One year ago, I got very depressed and my doctor prescribe me anxiolitiques. Il was a miracle for me. My elocution became more fluently and I don't want to stop taking them, even if It's not good and It's a drug. I don't care, It helps me to talk and work. So I think for me Pagaclone will be what I need to talk almost normally.
